The department of Chemistry ensures an effective teaching-learning process using interactive sessions in the classroom between the students and teachers. The students are also subjected to an environment that corelates the theoretical and practical aspect of the syllabus. The students are allowed to keep their mind open and be innovative in their approach towards the subject. Remedial classes are engaged for students who need special attention to uplift them. The department also organises various seminars keeping in mind to encourage students and inspire them for future studies and research.

Our goal is to provide students with a balance of intellectual and practical experiences that enable them to serve a variety of societal needs. In the Department, students are nurtured to become best Chemistry professionals to serve Industry, Academia and R & D organizations. Students have been motivated to enhance critical thinking, increasing the knowledge, ability to change information into knowledge and power of analyzing things technically. I am sure in times to come; many students from our department will make indelible mark nationally in the field of Chemistry and make us proud. We are having hard-working students, young and dynamic group of faculties, whose expertise spans the range of disciplines in chemical sciences with strong overlap with related disciplines of Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Polymer Science. The department offers UG programme with curricula that conforms to the requirement of Industry, Academia and R & D Organizations along with exposure to Industrial atmosphere. We hold firm belief in our ability to succeed, and we nurture an attitude of self-reliance, confidence, commitment and responsibility to the motherland that we need to serve. Such is the psychology behind the young and dynamic Chemistry department in effect, the Department believes in building career, enriching minds and provides a remarkable experience that lasts a life time. I am confident that the students of the Department would justify the credibility of the Department by showing a high level of professional competence in their respective field.
